Running Belt: Phone, Keys & Water – All On You

Where do you put your phone when jogging? In your pocket, where it bangs against your thigh with every step? Or in your hand, where it disrupts your running rhythm? A running belt elegantly solves this everyday problem – and also offers space for keys, gels, and even a small water bottle.

Running Belt: Who is it for?

The running belt is the perfect middle ground between "carrying nothing" and a running vest. Ideal for runs up to 60-90 minutes where you want to carry your phone, keys, and perhaps a gel, but don't need a running vest. Also great for commuters who travel light to their sport.

What to look for when buying

Fit: No bouncing, no slipping

The belt must fit snugly enough so it doesn't bounce up and down – even when loaded. Elastic materials adapt to your hips and fit better than rigid belts. Always test with your phone and keys inside, not empty. A good running belt feels like it's not even there after 100 meters.

Pockets and Storage Space

At least one smartphone pocket (large enough for current models up to 6.7 inches) and a separate compartment for keys and money. If you want to carry water: a soft flask holder is better than an integrated water bottle.

Material and Ventilation

Mesh on the inside prevents sweat from sticking. A water-repellent exterior protects your phone in the rain. Reflective elements are a bonus for twilight runs.

Running Belt vs. Running Vest: The Decision

Simple rule: Do you need more than 500 ml of water or more storage space than phone + keys + 2 gels? Then take a running vest. For everything else, the belt is sufficient – and much more comfortable to wear.

Running Belt in Spring: The Perfect Season

In spring, runs are not yet as long and hot – but long enough that you won't head out without water. A running belt with a 250ml soft flask is perfect for 30-75 minutes.

Combine the belt with running glasses to protect against pollen and spring sun – and you're fully equipped.

Our Recommendation: HydroBelt

The Livadora HydroBelt: Elastic material for a non-slip fit, smartphone compartment for all common sizes, separate key compartment, and soft flask holder. Lightweight, slim, invisible under your shirt.
