Which sports glasses for which sport?
Any of our glasses works for any sport. Depending on what you do, though, weight, field of view and lens type matter in different ways.

Running & trail running
When you run, every gram counts and the glasses must not bounce. The V7 Race weighs 28 g and fits snugly. Run with the V7 Volt in half-frame mode for extra airflow.

Road & gravel cycling
On the bike you need a wide field of view and protection from wind, insects and dust. The V8 Pro's panoramic shield covers your whole field of view, and the V7 Volt protects with its full frame. Both stay put under a helmet.

MTB & trail
In the woods, the light keeps switching between shade and sun. The photochromic lenses of the V8 Pro adapt on their own, so you never have to stop.

Water, mountains & everyday
Glare is strongest on water, snow and wet tarmac. The polarised lenses of the V7 Volt and V8 Pro filter out those reflections.
Lenses explained: photochromic, polarised or mirrored?
The lens decides how comfortably you see in sun, shade and glare. All our lenses block UV radiation up to 400 nanometres.

Photochromic
Photochromic lenses darken in UV light and turn lighter again when it gets dim. Ideal when you switch between forest, dusk and bright sun. Darkening takes seconds, lightening takes a little longer.

Polarised
A polarising filter blocks reflected light, the glare that bounces off wet roads, water and snow. Everything looks calmer and sharper in contrast.

Mirrored (Horizon 4D)
The mirror coating reflects part of the sunlight before it reaches your eyes. On top of that, the Horizon 4D lenses of the V7 Race improve colour and contrast.
Livadora sports glasses: light, non-slip and made to move
Good sports glasses are glasses you forget you're wearing. They stay put without pinching, don't fog up and protect your eyes from sun, wind, dust and insects. Rubberised temples and an adjustable silicone nose pad keep the V7 Race and the V7 Volt in place even when you sweat. The V8 Pro also comes with a removable strap.
Every pair comes in a Livadora hard case with a microfibre pouch and cleaning cloth. We ship from our warehouse in Hamburg.

Prescription sports glasses: how the clip-in works
Wear glasses? Then you don't need to switch to contact lenses for sport. The V7 Volt and the V8 Pro each come with a prescription clip-in. Your optician fits your lenses into the clip-in, and you then slot it into the glasses. The clip-in fits both models.

UV400 and category 3: what it means for your eyes
UV400 means the lens blocks UV radiation up to a wavelength of 400 nanometres, so both UVA and UVB rays. The filter category, on the other hand, tells you how dark the lens is. Category 3 lets through only 8 to 18% of visible light and is made for bright sun.
Photochromic lenses adjust their tint on their own and suit you if you often switch between sun and shade. Dark category 3 lenses are not suitable for driving at dusk or at night.

Sports glasses for women and men: which size fits?
All models are unisex. How big a pair looks depends mostly on the frame width:
- V7 Race: 140 mm frame width, snug race fit
- V7 Volt: 14 cm frame width, 15 cm temples
- V8 Pro: 14.5 cm frame width, panoramic shield, fits wider faces too
The adjustable nose pad on the V7 models lets you set the fit once and forget about it.

Buying sports glasses: what to look for
- Weight: the lighter the pair, the less you feel it after hours.
- Fit: rubberised temples and an adjustable nose pad stop slipping and bouncing.
- Lens: mirrored for sun, polarised against glare, photochromic for changing light.
- Ventilation: air vents and anti-fog keep the lens clear, even on climbs.
- Field of view: a large lens shields you from wind, insects and dust.
- Prescription: a prescription clip-in saves you from wearing contact lenses.

How to care for your sports glasses
Wipe the lenses with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid paper towels and abrasive cloths, as they can damage the coatings. When you travel, keep the glasses in the hard case.

FAQ about our sports glasses
Which sports glasses are best for running?
Which sports glasses are best for cycling?
What's the difference between photochromic and polarised?
Photochromic lenses adjust their tint to the light: darker in the sun, lighter in the shade. Polarised lenses filter out the glare reflected off wet roads, water or snow. Go photochromic for changing light, and polarised for strong sun and glare.
Can I get the sports glasses with my prescription?
Yes. The V7 Volt and the V8 Pro come with a prescription clip-in. Your optician fits your lenses into it, and you then slot the clip-in into the glasses.
Do all the sports glasses have UV protection?
Yes. All lenses block UV radiation up to 400 nanometres (UV400).
Will the lenses fog up?
The lenses have an anti-fog coating, plus air vents in the frame or vents in the shield. That keeps your view clear, even on climbs and when you sweat.
What's in the box?
Every pair comes with a Livadora hard case, microfibre pouch and cleaning cloth. The V7 Volt also includes a second nose pad and a prescription clip-in, and the V8 Pro a clip-in and a removable strap.
